Perhaps it’s the explorer in me, but I’ve always been up for a good adventure.
It’s why I chose to sign up to run a half-marathon when I’m anything but a runner.
It’s why I started a business without knowing what I was doing, where I was going, or how I’d navigate getting there without a roadmap. (Pro tip: The road tends to appear when you step out in faith, but that’s not common or the most sound business advice you’ll get from traditional 9-5 thinkers).
It’s also why I dove headfirst into the RV lifestyle and am now building two businesses around it — Roadpreneur and Cruisin’ + Campfires.
I chose to create a brand around RVing and entrepreneurship because there’s so much overlap.
Take a look at the RV lifestyle as evidence. There’s something so profoundly beautiful and inspiring about rolling into the unknown. Sure, you might have looked up reviews about the campground where you’ll be staying, and you might’ve even picked your spot, but until you get there, you don’t know exactly what the experience will be.
As much as we try to predict and plan for RV adventures, there will always be elements outside our control, which is why we love this mode of travel. We get to expect the unexpected, build resilience as we adapt to the unknowns, and grow as human beings in ways that just can’t be done indoors.
The world of entrepreneurship looks very similar.
Entrepreneurship is just as full of unexpected adventures, unforeseen circumstances, and underrated experiences that will shape your life.
That regular transformation and push forward is exactly what RVers are designed for.
We know that life throws us curveballs.
We know that we’ll have to plan for the unexpected and embrace the unknown when it comes our way.
And we’re ready for it all because:
We’re so fiercely committed to this lifestyle we’re building that we’re ready for it all.
But this preparation can feel exhausting. Constantly showing up and being ready can feel draining. It’s perhaps why many RVers and entrepreneurs are drawn towards burnout. We’re building this lifestyle to relax and experience all the good life has to offer — so why does it sometimes feel anything but rainbows and sunshine?
Here’s the thing that many people don’t talk about often enough:
RVers are ready for adventure. Entrepreneurs are ready to adjust and course correct where needed.
What we’re not ready for is burnout. Long hours. Draining repetitive tasks. The exhausting roundabout, always-on approach to doing business the way we should, and showing up where we should, and all those other shoulds that tend to leave us feeling like we’re barely keeping our head above the surface.
We want to float on the lake, not doggie paddle around the water trying to breathe while also making it seem like we know what we’re doing.
You’re sold on this idea, but the question then becomes how?
How do you do the doing consistently and prolifically without burnout?
How do you keep showing up and maintaining that need to always be on when you want a break now and then?
How do you prioritize your life today, so you can embrace that campground you’re at and the new area you have to explore without feeling like you’re drowning in a to-do list?
For months, I heard the rallying cry from Roadpreneurs inside my Community. Many are eager to learn and want to know what those guardrails look like. Others are eager for someone to simplify this journey by telling them where and how to show up and keeping that focus on content creation month after month without burnout.
To answer that need, I’ve shuttered the doors of the Roadpreneur Community. I’m taking what worked really well and what was so well loved and reinventing how I show up for you along your travel and business-building journey.
